Telegram Stars to USD: What 100 to 10,000 Stars Are Worth

Updated: October 2026 · By the TeleCrow team · Facts checked 16 October 2026

One Telegram Star has two prices. A buyer pays about $0.014 at Telegram's base price, and more, around $0.02, when buying Stars inside the iPhone or Android app. A seller who withdraws receives $0.013 per Star, so 1,000 Stars pay out about $13. The table below shows both sides for 100 to 10,000 Stars.

Rates checked on 16 October 2026. Telegram can change these values at any time. Seller payout: $0.013 per Star and a hold of up to 21 days (Telegram Bot Platform Developer Terms, section 6.2.4). Base buyer price: $14.10 per 1,000 Stars, withdrawal rate: $13.00 per 1,000 Stars, minimum withdrawal: 1,000 Stars (Telegram client configuration). App-store prices are set per store and country.

The short answer: what one Star is worth

The gap between the buyer's price and the seller's payout covers the app-store fees and Telegram's own share. It doesn't depend on which tool runs your bot: every Stars seller on Telegram receives the same $0.013.

Two things to keep in mind when reading it:

Telegram Stars in rupees (India)

Telegram shows Stars prices in your local currency, and in India that means rupees. The amount comes from the store you buy through (Google Play or the App Store), so the rupee price for the same pack can differ between an Android phone and an iPhone, and it can change when the store updates its prices.

To see what Stars cost you today, open Telegram, go to Settings › My Stars and look at the Stars packs on offer. Each pack is listed with its price in rupees. For a rough figure without a phone, take the base price of $14.10 per 1,000 Stars and convert it at today's dollar-to-rupee rate; the price in the app will normally be higher than that.

On the selling side, nothing changes in India: the payout is still $0.013 per Star, paid in TON. You then sell the TON for rupees on an exchange of your choice, and taxes on that income are yours to handle.

Why buyers pay different prices for the same Stars

Buyers often notice that a friend paid less, or more, for the same number of Stars. The usual reasons:

For a seller this matters in one way: your price in Stars is fixed, but what it costs a buyer in their own currency is not. A shop priced at 500 Stars costs a buyer about $7 at the base price and about $10 in an app store.

What a seller actually receives: a worked example

In TeleCrow you set prices in US dollars, and the bot turns them into Stars at the bot's Stars rate. The default rate is $1 = 50 Stars.

  1. You sell a template for $10.
  2. At $1 = 50 Stars, the bot asks for 500 Stars. Prices are rounded to whole Stars.
  3. A buyer who buys Stars in an app store pays about $10 for those 500 Stars, close to your dollar price.
  4. When you withdraw, 500 Stars × $0.013 = $6.50, about 65% of the price.

If you would rather keep the full $10, Stars settings has a second rate: $1 = 77 Stars. The same item then costs 770 Stars and pays you about $10.01, but the buyer pays about 54% more in Stars. The rate you pick applies to new orders only. You can also set an exact Stars price by hand on any item, and buyers can still pay the dollar price from their balance in the bot, so your Stars price only affects buyers who choose Stars.

If an item costs more than 25,000 Stars, the bot hides the Stars button for it and the buyer can still pay from their balance. The dashboard marks such an item as "too high", so you can lower the Stars price or set one by hand. Paid-channel plans that cost more than 10,000 Stars a month, last longer than a month, or are sold at a discount are paid once instead of renewing as subscriptions. The guide on Star subscriptions for a paid channel explains how that works for members.

When the money arrives: the hold and withdrawal

Each Stars sale lands in your bot's Stars balance, which belongs to the Telegram account that created the bot in @BotFather, not to TeleCrow. Telegram's terms say Stars may not be available for withdrawal for up to 21 days after they are received, and each sale unlocks on its own. Once at least 1,000 Stars are past the hold, you can withdraw them from the bot's profile in Telegram to a TON wallet through Fragment. You need Two-Step Verification turned on in Telegram to do it.

In TeleCrow, the bot's Stars panel shows three numbers: the Stars balance, the amount still on hold, and an estimate of what is ready to withdraw with its dollar value. TeleCrow can show your balance and send refunds you approve; it can't hold, cut or withdraw your Stars.
